HD replacement compatibility concerns

20" Aluminum iMac 2.4GHz EMC 2210 A1224

Last three S/N digits are: ZE2.

Will the IFIXIT 1TB or 2 TB HD drives be compatible with my iMac? Any information will be helpful.

Here's the IFIXIT guide on replacing your drive: iMac Intel 20" EMC 2133 and 2210 Hard Drive Replacement.

You may want to consider getting either one of these:

They will give you more zip than a straight HD.

Short answer: Yes.

For example, the 2 TB 3.5" Hard Drive includes your iMac in its list of compatible Macs.

The repair guides also usually include a list of both tools and replacement parts that have been vetted.

I have never made any changes with any of my Macs, just took the HDD out of the package and installed it.
