Are samsung galaxy s5 home button married to the motherboard

Hi guys

I know that Apple marry there Touch ID so if u change the home button it will never work again

but my question is

are samsung galaxy s5 home button married to the motherboard As well replacing the screen is really easy but removing the home button is a pain so much easier just to buy the home button already installed but will I loose the finger print unlocking feature ?
