iphone wi-fi not working. could it be the communication board?

I restore it the 3g 8gb iphone, I downgrade it to 3.0 firmware, I upgraded to 3.1.2, I blackra1n it, nothing will work to get the wi-fi working. The last thing I can try is to replace the communication board.

Any ideas?

did this problem start before or after you attempted to jailbreak the iphone?

I'm sorry but I still don't understand. Do you mean it has been working fine for a year as a jailbroken phone and suddenly is asking for a password for your wifi? Are you sure you have correctly entered the WiFi password?

I'm having the same problem. Anyone have a solution other than paying apple 199 for a new one.

I went as far as taking the logic board out and placing it in another working iPhone. Still the same. The crash is in the logic board.

It is a year old. A year ago it was jailbroken and unlock and then suddenly after a year: It picks up the signal from the local router/ modem. Even picks up the neighborhood too. it ask for the password or if there is no password it tries to connect and returns a message:"could not connect to the name of the network" I restored it fresh without jailbreak. Still the same. I jailbreak it and still the same.

Is there an antenna to be replaced?

what else can I do?

many thanks,

Enrique
