"Plugged in, not charging"

So the thing is, my laptop shows "Plugged in, not charging" all the time when I unplug charger, it shuts down. When I insert another battery everything is normal and charging, laptop working with battery. I already tried uninstalling battery drivers and install again, did not do the trick. Do I need new battery? Or maybe I can fix it myself? Added picture how it looks.

When you say shuts down, does it completely lose power and power off? Or does it go through the shut down process? Is the battery lock engaged?

This is in fact a sign of a bad battery, how long have you had said battery? It is definitely in need of replacement no questions asked,
