Home Button Stuck pressed down, LCD does not light up

Phone got wet with rain, home button stays pressed down so when the phone restarts the voice control appl is on...after cancelling, the home button does not operate at all...the LCD does not backlight...you can barely see it..everything else works fine...

What can I do ???

there are a few things you can do (or at least - try to do)

get some isopropyl alcohol (>90%) and a soft paintbrush

disassemble the iphone

clean the logicboard and the connectors carefully with the alcohol/paintbrush - all the white/greenish residue must be removed

let it dry!

reassemble it and try it again
