my floppy drive won't open.

Try to get your finger or something similar to put in the drive and push the disk down and back. Then try firmly pushing the eject button while keeping the disk gently pushed back. That usually lets them release and eject.

There is usually a small hole in the optical drive carrier. Use an extended paper clip and push it in the hole so that it hits the eject switch.
