Why is my Toshiba U920t working but screen is blank?

I have a toshiba u920t. Recently my screen became blank but my mouse and everything worked fine I could log in with out screen but before when ever I used to slide it from tablet mode it flickered then the next day it completely stopped please help :/

Options

1) connect to the external display via HDMI interface and check whether pictures coming or not.

If you can see the external display functioning properly, that means your motherboard is work in order and you can fallow below diagnostics

  • Check the flex cable
  • Check the FPC connector
  • Check the display assembly

if any sign of damages in 1st * and 3rd * you may have to change the display

if you cant see any kind of output on external display

  • Reboot and see
  • Check to enable external display using FN key + relevant numeric

if above options not worked you may required to do advanced diagnostic on motherboard.
