Not connecting to wifi

Dropped phone in water yesterday, then took off screen and battery to dry out. Waited 24 hours with parts in rice, reassembled and everything seems to be working exept for the wifi, it can find the signal and it shows full signal strength but after a couple of seconds of connecting it loses the connection and tries to reconnect but fails after a couple of seconds every time. What could be wrong and what should I do?

If possible dry the phone out for a couple of more days. Sometimes blow warm air on the wifi cable. This is because the cable acts like a wick and suck the water up the length of the cable. Your phone sounds like it can see the wireless beacon and connect, but can not transmit due to water being in the cable. You might need to replace the cable.
