Unfortunately, the battery on the Late 2013 MacBook Pro 15" is nearly impossible to repair, due to being adhered to the case by an excessive amount of glue. It is quite likely the battery will break during disassembly. Furthermore, the battery covers the trackpad cable, which can easily shear during the battery removal process.

If you choose to attempt the repair, I would recommend, after removing all necessary screws, using an iOpener (iOpener) to soften the adhesive, and then using a plastic card to carefully pry up each cell, one at a time.
