Valeria Huguley, you can replace the LCD only. Here is the guide for that. Personally I like to replace the complete assembly. More expensive but a higher rate of success and less chance of breaking the replacement digitizer.

You should replace the digitizer and glass as they tend to come as one unit and it is harder to remove the digitizer from the glass. Here is a how too video.

you do not need to replace the LCD if it still works the LCD can be pricey for this unit

you only need to replace the screen and not the digitizer. be careful though it is extremely easy to damage the digitizer while replacing the screen if you are not careful. make sure if you do it yourself do not use too much heat and when getting the glass off use something like a playing card to get under it so that you do not damage anything. good luck with your phone
