jump start just to drive dies once tuned off

I have a 2000 Honda accord 3.0 VTEC v6 and I just replaced battery it was clicking but didn't start once I did get a new battery it ran smooth for about 3-4 days I woke up went to start the lights on doors and dash were barley visible and the engine didn't make a peep the only way I can start and drive my car is to jump it.but once I'm where I need to be and turn off car I have to jump it again just to drive it...please help..

It could be your alternator no good that why it did nit charge your new battery. You need to check to see if the alternator was the cause of this problem, you could do it by yourself, jump start the car let the engine on then remove the positive battery cable( red cable) and touch it to the frame of the car to see if it spark or not( be careful make sure dont spark near gas). If it spark and the engine stop then you should go exchange your battery, other than that your alternator is out.

I was thinking a bad alternator as well. When the car is running a good alternator will keep the battery charged. If the alternator is bad the battery will drain quickly even if it's a new battery.
