Nexus 5 is not recognized on computers on USB, but charges.

Hi,

I bought some cheap power adapters from China and think they damaged my Nexus 5.

When I plug it on a computer (linux, mac or windows) it is not detected, but it charges.

Replacing the USB charging module can help with this problem? Or USB data is handled by another component?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

rodrigo since the sequence of the Nexus 5 is USB connected to D821 -> VBUS_USB_IN(FL16003) goes to 5V -> USB_DATA is triggered -> USB work, I'd definitely start with the USB port and replace it. Check FL16003 (located just above and to the right corner of the USB connector, to make sure it is okay after you replace the port.

Hi. I'm not a technician, so got a little lost. By "changing USB port" you mean the whole usb charging module, as in this: [linked product missing or disabled: IF293-000-1] ?

Or just the usb connector (by desoldering, etc)?

Do you know the code or model for LG-D281?

Thanks for your answer!

I'd change the whole assembly. That way there is no soldering involved.
