Digi not working but with strange twist...

okay, here's a fun one. i have a iphone 5c which was plugged into a charger and now the digitizer no longer works. I've preformed a LCD and Digi assembly replacement but nothing changed... any ideas? i'm staring to think its component level but not certain.

Options

Reset iPhone, holding both home and power buttons. If still problem, Restore iPhone with iTunes on computer.

no luck on either. im thinking its a hard-whare issue

Jake, were you able to figure this out? I have a similar issue and I think that I have a deeper hardware issue as well.
