Won't Charge past 5%

I have two iPad airs with some charging/battery issues.

One of them will charge to 5% then drain down to 0% before powering off.

The second charges to 1% then dies shortly after.

I've changed the batteries on both units and I am still having the same problem.

Any ideas?

Same prob;em here. I have a customer who brought one to me and said apple told her to replace the battery. I replaced it and it still only got to 1%. I tried a restore on it and noticed that when it was in recovery mode, it charged above the 1%. I'd see if this works for yours any but a more permanent solution would be great.
