Wii console is RVL-001 USA, will replacement drive

Will this replacement drive function like the old one e.g. Able to play gamecube and wii disk.

if your wii does not support it now, the disk drive can't change it. the wii may not even work with an incorrect drive. the firmware if different and will not allow gamecube games. i'd suggest finding an older wii, on eBay or such they can be very cheap and you can transfer all data.

cant transfer all the data.....you cant move super mario kart and you cant move smash i may be wrong about one of those but i know one of them you cant....unlocking all that mario kart stuff took forever. i am not redoing that. but if this guy is not in the same boat then I was then replace the drive like i am doing.

also they say in the specs while ordering the drive that it will play game cube games....which the drive RVL-001 i thought was the only one that can play gamecube games....
