Recently bought an older MacBook, model type is A1181, late 2006, not sure as to what RAM it has, but I do know I gotta due some serious repair to it. Just need to get a heads up on what OS can be installed.

To be absolutely sure please give us the last three figures of your serial number. On the late 2006 C2D your maximum RAM is 4 GB. The maximum operating system is 10.7.5.

Hey!
As you computer is a late 2006 Macbook, the maximum supported OS is Lion 10.7.
Early 2006 only runs Snow Leopard though.
