Wine was spilled on my MacBook Pro.

I splashed some wine on my keyboard and monitor. Not much. It was still running and so I turned it off right away. It was just on battery power at the time. I wiped it down and flipped it up to get the moisture if any out. When I tried to turn it back on I saw the Apple then the screen went Black. The keyboard was still lit up. Can I take it apart to clean it up or replace the monitor? Is there a video or tear down instruction that I can use?

l have the technical skills to tear down the 2008 Mac Book but because of the fact that my machine is still operating (without monitor) I want to have some one with more skill to dismantle it, and with the training to do it right. I could do it but I am the first to admit my fear of screwing up a $2500 machine. (I am a first aid attendant not a surgeon) so to speak, I know enough to apply a bandage but not to take out my own appendix. LOL

You can take it apart but it will be very difficult and may not fix the problem. This link will take you to the page where you can take apart every part of you Macbook: MacBook Pro 15" Retina Display Early 2013

NOTE: I dont recomend that you take it apart because it is a difficult process and requires an EXTREME amount of technical skills and care. Plus you will need some precision tools which most households dont have.

Chocolate Tundaa, the idea behind this forum is to try and assist people fixing their devices. Not sending them to Apple. that is somewhat contradictory to what is being done here.

I did assist the person by providing the link to the videos that show how to take apart the macbook pro.

Sending the computer to Apple was just my recomendation.
