The most likely largest hard drive for your machine is a 320 GB ATA drive. Here's some: http://eshop.macsales.com/Search/Search....|0&N=6885

You may have problems formatting it internally past 128 GB, but there are work arounds for that.

is it really as difficult to install yourself as they make out? And what else can I do to supe this G3 up??

It's a very involved installation. It takes me about 1 3/4 hours from start to finish and I've done a lot of them. The hardest part for me is removing the upper case.

As for upgrades, I would ask that specific question in a new question. rdkl works on these machines all the time and you would hope for an answer from him. Ben Eisenman would be the man to know if the logic board can be upgraded, I could not find it. Of course the easiest upgrade is the RAM.
