Kindle wont connect to take a charge

When I plug the charge cord into the Kindle the charge light sometimes comes on, if I move the cord. Now, the light wont even come on and wont take a charge. It acts like there is a loose connection inside the Kindle. I purchased a new charge cord, but that didn't solve the problem.
