Green Screen Appears Preventing Charging of iPod touch

Most of the times I plug in my iPod touch to charge it, a dark green screen is the only thing that appears on the iPod touch screen, and it prevents me from using it. When that happens, I have to hold the Power button and the Home button simultaneously to reset the device, which then turns it off. It usually works after a few tries, but it gets really annoying. It mostly appears when I try to charge it when the iPod touch is completely out of power. My iPod touch 2nd generation 8GB is jailbroken using redsn0w 0.9.5b5-5. Is there any known way to prevent this from happening?

Answer this question I have this problem too

This is completely normal. It is not your restarting that makes it work... the green screen is a charging screen that disappears after 60 seconds.
