Info stated could upgrade to 3 Gig RAM

I bought another a 1 gig of RAM to upgrade The iMac will not boot with extra memory installed What is the cause or workaround

Did u make sure the RAM's specs match that of your machine? It can be an incompatibility issue, bad RAM, or improper installation.

Please check the bottom of your stand for the EXACT model of your machine. Most G5 iMacs had to have RAM installed in pairs. Where did the RAM come from? What was the original RAM configuration? Try putting the old RAM back in and see if it boots.
