If water has leaked into your camera, turn it off immediately. Make sure you dry off the outside before opening the battery case. Keep it upright and carefully remove the battery and memory card from the battery compartment. If there is any water in the interior, leave the compartment open and let it evaporate. When the water has evaporated, put the battery and memory card back in and turn the camera on. Hope for the best!

It appears that water has leaked into the camera but has not affected the photos just the lcd screen has what looks like water drops. It also had some condensation

which did affect some of the pics. It is brand new and I'm on an extended trip specifically taking water pics. :(

To speed up the evaporation process, I left mine sitting on top of my desktop computer in its closed compartment, where the heat builds up. I left the battery door open so the moisture would have somewhere to go. But now the lens looks dirty and will have to be disassembled and cleaned.

Mine took in the water while in my sink for cleaning.

We took ours snorkeling yesterday then it stopped taking pictures. Assumed it got moisture inside somehow even though it was locked tight. Waited until much later to open removed battery and memory card. Let dry over night opened. Changed out to another battery, this morning it will allow me to take a picture however I cannot change any programs or download. Anything else I can do? I have 4 more days of vacation and one more under water trip. Thanks for any help!
