whats wrong with my phone?

Ordered a replacement screen do to shattered screen on the phone. I installed it following directions and diagram provided. Pieced the phone all back together and when you power it up the Apple symbol comes on then straight to a red screen then blank. What's the problem? Any answers much appreciated and thank you in advance.

You have damaged digitizer - maybe you were not careful enough during all this operation.

Possible reason is oil and dirt from your fingers and last but not least - you banded flat cables before you start assembling screen back.

Anyway - probably reorder of new screen will be needed.

And careful this time - no rush.

  • Check the FPC contacts properly fixed to the logic board
  • Try to restore iPhone via iTunes
  • bbilbija's answer can be accepted. if try to attach bad components to your apple device you are in trouble. it may causes to damage your logic board. even ends with dead device.
