I have made this upgrade on my 1989 245 and works great no rubbing and speedometer is closer to correct actual speed. Most speedometers read 5% to 10% high from the factory, (maybe so warranty is up early?).

the tyres of the 14" , specially the Michelin are very expensive, about € 244,- each.
I bought me 4 wheels of the 740, which are 15" and the 195 65 R15 Michelin Cross Climate cost me €63,- each.
