Won't hold a charge

MacBook Air Model A1370

Bought this MacBook Air without Apple Protection so here I am desperate to get it fixed without paying a lot of $. If I can fix it myself, that would be awesome.

I had this laptop for quite awhile, since 2010-2011. I noticed one day that the keyboard bubbled and since then it would not hold a charge. The only time it would charge is only when it's plugged into the charger.

Thank goodness the bubble subsided however, it still does not hold a charge. I assume I should replace my battery. But I do want to confirm before I buy anything.

Also, how do I find out which replacement battery is the right one?

Please HELP!

Can you give us the last four digits of your serial number so we can identify your system. Then we can walk you though how to replace the battery.

Hello, if the keyboard , trackpad area rises, bloats it means your internal battery is swelling. My advice is don't continue to use the machine.

Buy another replacement battery immediately. Here's an example;

MacBook Air 11" (Mid 2011-Early 2015) Battery
