iPhone 5c: Replaced lightning port and battery but still won't charge?!

My daughter did a number on her iPhone 5c and I replaced the lightning port assembly, the loudspeaker assembly and the battery. Now the battery won't charge. When I plug the cable in I get the tone and the charging icon but the battery level never goes up.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Did you try to see if it makes a difference if you re-install the old battery?

This might be a dumb question, but have you tried a different cable?

I tried 3 different cables, two different AC adapters and plugging it into the wall and the computer (3 different USB ports). No dice.

What exactly happened to the iPhone while in your daughter's possession? You may possibly be experiencing a failure in the logic board "power management ic", assuming your replacement battery-cable-connector wasn't somehow defective. It is generally an uncommon occurrence (and an expensive fix, unfortunately), but some experts think cheap, "fake" Apple chargers/cables are to blame for the bulk of these failures.
