What should I do if there is water in my camera?

I was taking pictures with my camera underwater and then I noticed that small amounts of water were leaking into my camera. Is my camera ruined or can the water be removed safely?

Your camera is safe if the water is removed properly. First wait for the exterior to air dry completely or dry the exterior will a soft towel. Then open up the camera and take out the battery. Then either allow the battery to air dry or dry the battery with the lowest hair dryer setting.
