question is do you know if you are getting any spark? there is a way to test the coil pack. but I would ask first has the car been running fine. or has there been other issues. cars don't die for no good reason. something like the other guy said spark control or the sensors. but if other stuff has been going on. and did the engine light come on. best to get the codes scanned if they did. it will help

There could also be a fuel issue . When you turn on the key without cranking the engine can you hear the fuel pump humming . no hum no fuel car wont run.

What year ? Model and engine are we talking about ... Saabs from the late 1990s till they stopped production had issues with turbo units failure and when they do the flood your intake with oil and mess up with ignition... You if that is the case you might notice the engine running rough prior to that .. and one day it will just die when there is a minor load on the engine like breaking at stop sign and never restart ..

Quick way to check disconnect the intake between the turbo and engine stick a finger in it if you see oil on the finger that's it .. you need a new turbo and to clean intake ...

Alternative it's a simple electric issue similar to any other car

I miss my 95
