Left Palm rest temperature sensor, malfunctioning

So there was an incident where a cooler was spilt on my 2012 MacBook pro, after taking it home disconnecting the battery and scrubbing the logic board with alchol, the machine actually booted up and ran normally for awhile, however one morning I woke up and tried to boot up the computer however it wouldn't so immediently I thought oh crap and dissasebled the machine, checked all the components and then ran AHT I then revived the error TSOP which I learned was the left Palm temp sensor the computer still boots but the fan runs at max speed and runs EXTEMELY slow, I would like to replace this sensor, however I have heard several contradicting story's, some say it's on the trackpad flex cable, others say Its located on the hard drive cable and some say its located inside the trackpad its self, so If someone could tell me what needs replacing I would be very gratefull.
