Is my screen's Ribbon Cables defective?

Help! I was replacing my LCD screen and when I first put the screen on with the ribbon cables I noticed there was a white line so I detached them and reattached them and now the screen doesnt work. Then I went to reattach my old screen and it doesnt work either. My phone is vibrating and is fine but now my screens arent working. Did I just do something to the circuits?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Yikes!

Did this happen after you screwed down the LCD shield? Hope not---because that is a difficult problem. Mixing up the screws on the iPhone 6 shield causes a no backlight problem when the long screw is screwed into the wrong bracket and tears the traces in the board. Repairable, but really tough.

But first, rule out the easy stuff. 1--hard reset--lift off the battery connector and reseat and power on.

2--it could be just a blown backlight filter--especially if you're sure you did not mix up the screws. That is still a board repair, but much more straightforward.
