iPhone 5S home button unresponsive, even after replacement.

Hey all, hopefully you can help me out.

I've recently swapped the logic board of my beat up space grey iPhone 5S into my shiny new gold 5S, with no issues whatsoever, except that my home button no longer works.

I've swapped it with 3 other touch ID / home button's that I have lying around (I work in a repair shop) and nothing has worked. The home button is unresponsive, and touch ID doesn't work either.

I have done a full restore, and replaced the entire home button assembly with 3 different confirmed working parts.

I would appreciate any advice / suggestions!

Make sure it's the original home button from your original screen before the Logic Board swap. I've heard of issues of the Touch ID not functioning if a different Logic Board is used. Also Be sure the Home button cable is securely attached to the back of the screen panel.

I've done both of those things and sadly it still doesn't work :-( it all worked prior to the swap, and this is all fairly routine for me, so no chance of damaged parts.

Any other suggestions? Thanks for your time!

Maybe Try a DFU restore?

Hello! So the home button finger print sensor won’t work again; since your replaced it. The only way to get the home button to work finger print to work and replace it is to go into apple and have them fix it. Hope this helps
