Can I replace a battery in my MacBook Air first generation?

MacBook Air Model - First generation

My battery got damaged. And the keyboard is bent because of it. The laptop does work though.

At the Apple Store they said that machine is vintage and couldn't help me.

How do I go about fixing it? What type of battery do I get if replacing myself?

Yes! You can replace the battery. Here's the IFIXIT guide: MacBook Air Models A1237 and A1304 Battery Replacement.

But... You will need to carefully reshape your keyboard after you pull the battery if the case is bent (blistered up in the middle) and not working.
