should I, or should I NOT use LOCA when replacing front glass?

Hi,

I'm really confused about whether or not LOCA glue should be used when replacing the glass on my phone.

On many videos and instructions it's simply shown to used adhesive on the edges, but in just some of them UV glue is used.

The reason is to fill the gap between the LCD and glass for various reasons (color, resistance etc.).

So, what is the BEST repair option? Will I really gain from using UV glue?

Thanks very much!!

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

That's what I would like to know. I have never used glue. At this point, I have just replaced the whole lcd and digitizer. But, a repair shop cant stay in business doing it this way. You have to be able to reduce your cost.....and that would be by using glue. Having said that, who out there uses glue and who doesn't? Do you have to use glue on all iphones? Your suggestions and input would be greatly appreciated..

If you want to fully repair your device, I would definitely recommend it. You don't have a dust issue, the screen will feel more "firm". And I personally believe that with the gap filled up, your phone will withstand minor flex and prevent another cracked glass.

With that said, due to the labour and skills involved and since it's a S3, do you really need a 95% repair ? Or would a 80% repair be suffice ?

Your call on this =D
