Are Apple replacement parts new?

Might be a noobish question but when you put it your MacBook into a service Center and they agree to replace parts, are the parts new or refurbished? Has anyone had any bad experiences? I've have had to have my logic board replaces twice and display once

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

No way to know, but does it really matter? If it works it works. A "new" 820-2850 is trash, a four year old used T520 motherboard with the same chipset is good.. good is good. Doesn't matter if it's new or refurbished.

If you still have your original AppleCare in effect, this would be a very good machine to get an additional two year extension before it expires.
