I dont understand the Epson Printer wf2650 instructions

I just installed an epson wf2650.I have tried setting the printer to copy and print but keep paper getting error msg stating the paper source is invalid.I am using 8x10 plain paper and using same size on the scanner. Also plain paper.I know you cant use borderless with letter and plain paper. How much of a border should be used.#2 After scanning is there any way to save to a location so I can then print it.I know its two questions and apologize but didnt want to add multiple topics to the board.

Thank you

Pat

I have the same problem. You can scan the document and save it on your computer, then open the saved file and print it. The only problem with doing this is that when you print it you may not be able to read all of the copy.

Hi @mick1707 ,

Can you read the whole file when you open it on a computer?

If so, when you print it what is missing, sides, top, bottom etc?

if not, what is missing, sides, top, bottom etc? Are you scanning using the ADF or the platen glass? Does it happen when only using one or the other or does it happen on both?

I can read it on the computer but it is poor copy of the original. Original page was scanned on the platen glass and file opened and printed, some of the colors are faint or not even there.

Hi,

What is the print like when you just copy a page (and print it) using the printer's control panel? Try both the platen glass and the ADF and see if they are the same.

Just trying to isolate whether it is the 'scanner equipment' in the printer (same whether you scan or copy) or a problem between the printer and the pc.

This sounds like a conflict between where the print job automatically chooses as paper source and what the printer is set for. The paper source problem may be found if you check the printer properties. In windows you can look at printer preferences to see what paper sources are available, the print job may be printing to the manual feed which may not be set for the same paper type and size or loaded with paper. Check to make sure that the setting matches the paper you are using, typically it will be plain white letter sized paper. When you print, check the print settings to make sure that the main paper source is selected and the paper size and type match the paper you are using.
