Why does nothing happen when I press the buttons on the keypad?
When I press the keypad on the handset, nothing happens. The keys do not light up nor does the phone dial.

If nothing happens when the keypad is pressed, then either the keypad is dirty or damaged. To fix this, disassemble the phone and wipe the keypad and reassemble. If this does not fix the problem, then the keypad needs to be replaced.
