Repaired broken screen and LCD, now does its own thing.

I heard that there is a sensor that goes around the screen that will cause this problem when scratched or damaged. What is that component and how can I replace it. (heat sensor)

Make sure that the little clips on the Digitizer Cable FPC connectors are clamped down> These are on the circuit board and are where the cable from digitizer (glass on top of LCD plug in. Also make sure the cable isn't getting pinched between the glass and aluminum chassis of the ipad.
