my sanyo dp42841-08 get sound I can see in the black screen the piture but no light,I did the flash light test, how or can this be fix tv is on 2 years old.

tayredjr, that means that your backlight is not working. It is possible that your backlight inverter has failed or that your power supply is not getting power to the inverter board. I'd start by checking the capacitors on the power supply board. If those are okay, replace the backlight inverter board. You also want to check with Sanyo to make sure that your TV is not under warranty anymore. If it is, have Sanyo repair it.
