Why do I have a blue screen only
I turn on my mac, but only get a blue screen with the apple logo on it.I hear noise from the speakers, but that's it.
What can be my problem, and would it be too much to fix.
Is this a good question?

We need to try several things. It could be a corrupted system, bad hard drive or bad capacitors. Start up holding down the shift key (safe mode). Try starting from the system installation disk, "C" key. If successful, go to the second screen pull down menu, Utilities, Disk Utility and see if you can repair the disk. Let us know the results and we can go from there.

Thank you for your responce.
I forgot to mention ,that I just got the mac,and I don't have a mouse or keyboard yet,so would it be advisable to go purchase these items?

Just about any USB keyboard and mouse will work on a Mac. Use a PC one till we get this working.

Its kind a tough to troubleshoot a system without mouse or keyboard. Maybe you can get a friend to loan them to you? Very important that you make sure they work and are suitable for your unit.
