Replacement grey dust barrier for superdrive

Macbook pro mid 2010 15" unibody

Does ANYone know where to get a replacement felt dust barrier for the superdrive on a macbook pro? It's that fuzzy thing that you see when as you look into the slot of the optical drive. My sister damaged hers and we need to replace it.

While not perfect how about going to a local crafts store to get some grey felt and just cut a piece out that mimics what Apple has.

Thank you Dan...

I'll keep this in mind if I can't come up with something more OEM.

Apple doesn't offer it as a spare across any of the systems that I looked at. You might be able to pull it off a junker but I think its a lot easier going to the craft store. Here's an online source: Charcoal Felt Sheets

You won't find this exact piece anywhere, and if you do, there is a good chance it will be too small, too large, incorrect material and wind up causing drive malfunctions or scratched disks.

BUT you will find the entire drive for $15 to $20, so not worth driving one's self nuts over.

Thank you Louis...

When you say : "entire drive..." does this include the felt?

I had a moment.

The felt is on the case, not the drive.

Nevermind everything I just said.
