Ge French Door refrigerator has an ice lock key

I had company that could not figure out how to change from ice to water. They engaged the ice lock key now I cannot get water, ice or get the ice lock key to disengage. How do I repair this I need ice and water.

Try pressing and holding the ice lock key for 3-6 seconds.
