Resistor or Capacitor next Battery Connector iPhone 5s

While taking of the EMI Shield of the Qualcomm chip I ripped of two tiny SMD parts. I would like to replace these but do not know what these are. Can anybody tell me, what tiny SMD parts are sitting beside the battery connector frame of an iPhone 5s?

There are 7 of them two left hand side, two in the middle and three right hand side if you are looking from the connector frame towards the Qualcomm IC.

They sit between the connector frame and the soldering points of the EMI shield.

Size smaller than 1 mm.

Color between the solders seems to be black.

I would appreciate to get some help.

Cheers,

Xaver

Xaver--only one component back there is really important--FL 11 which on yours is intact. From memory, I think both of your components are 56pf capacitors. I don't think you'll notice any functional defect if you leave them off, and the act of replacing them is risky.

Hi Jess: Thanks for the info. The iPhone worked before taking of the EMI shield, but does not show any reaction now. As I can only see this damage, I assumed, that the capacitors were the cause. It seems that the power supply is broken by ripping off these capacitors. But I will now check the board once again.

Thanks.

Hi Jessa,

may I ask you once again. I have rechecked my board and found two additional parts missing near the WTR Chip.

Are these capacitors of the same capacity as well?

Please see circles in photo I have added.

That is something I would have to look up. You can look it up as well--the 5s schematics are fairly easy to find online.

Great and thanks for your instant reply, maybe, but only if you have some time, you can give me a hint were to search if not google. Have a nice weekend with your family.

Hint. Search for the 5s by the board number: 820-3292-a

The capacitors are 0201 SMD chips not 0402 (European code)

Hey i was woundering what spacific capasitors is the one i need because i have the same problem

by

Did it prove to be the solution ? This cap (C25) indeed seems non-critial, but I cannot find anything else.. especially as I have been really only swaping batteries.

There are 3 more of those cap on that main power line... I can't believe this would matter. I'm having red screen now

Do a jumper, if you dont get any solutions. Nobody knows if this works...

Bad idea until you know what you are dealing with. The last thing you want to do is shorten out the complete board by connecting something directly to ground.

by

This advice would short out this phone since those components are capacitors :( bad idea.
