After hooking my mac back up, I have vertical lines going through my screen. The graphics look like Super Nintendo, blurry and pastel-like. I just changed out my hard drive, maybe I reconnected something wrong?

Sounds like you don't have the data cable correctly seated or it or the connector are damaged.
