Why won't my iPhone 4 charge after being dropped?

I dropped my iphone 4 the other day and it has not been charging since. The phone is not recognised on itunes and all I now get on the screen is the red battery and power icon. I have tried reset and have changed the dock but still the same.

Can anyone help?
