how/where to replace scratched silver frame

I accidentally dropped my S5 and scratched the frame of the phone (the silver frame where the volume and sleep buttons are). I was wondering if stores will replace this part for me. I am unfamiliar with repairing electronics and don't want to damage my phone more so I'd appreciate contact information to stores/facilities that will do the repair for me. If no stores do this kind of thing, how difficult would it be to do this myself? Thanks.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

You can see the step 1 to step 27 of this replace guide Samsung Galaxy S5 Micro-USB Port Daughterboard Replacement, it's the best safe way to replace S5 mid-frame. And the most difficult and need to be careful part is to remove LCD screen. If you are careful and skilled enough, you can replace it yourself. If you can't do it, you can send it to the repair center.

Replacing this part is a very complex and difficult job. It would most likely l, almost certainly require the replacement of your screen as it's almost impossible to remove without breaking (even by a seasoned phone repairer)

Cost. Screen $180, rear frame with bezel $20

To have it done professionally it would be US$250 (that's including a new screen, if your lucky you may find a repairer that can remove screens with out breaking, however very rare)

The above answers are exactly right. To put it simply, unlike the origianl galaxy ace phones that silver part is attached to th circuit board in the middle so to replace it you have to replace the main part of your phone which is just not worth it. Its superficial so live with it or do what i do and sell it on ebay as 2nd hand and use the money towards a new phone ...it will be cheaper tha repairing ur one

I took a good chip out of my Galaxy S5 Neo after dropping it on a concrete tile floor. It's not visible with a black case (the phone is black) - but other than that you would be better off paying for a new phone. Even though the cost of a new phone can be upwards of $700.00, you're better to avoid paying almost $300.00 for parts and repairs of this purely cosmetic problem. Look lad, it may not look pretty, but if you don't have performance issues, I wouldn't fret.

Just be more careful when you get an upgrade!
