Blue colour from iPhone 5c logic board when submerged in isopropyl

Hi All,

I havnt used these forums before so not sure what y chances are of getting an answer but here it goes.

I am currently fixing my first water damaged iphone 5c and on submerging the logic baord in a small tub of 99.9% Isopropanol i noticed a small amount of blue dye coming from under the metal shield on the logic board.

Should i be worried??

Answer this question I have this problem too

iSmurf, not really. I would suggest to remove all the shields anyway to get your board properly cleaned. Once the shield is removed. post some images of your board with your question so that we can see what you see. Adding images to an existing question

Does removing all the shields require them to be soldered back on? Not sure if i would be fit to do that safely or without damaging the board itself
