Upgrading the Logic Board to a Newer Model?

Hey I was wondering if it was possible to change the logic board in my Macbook Air to that of a newer model.

If I could purchase the logic board of the 2014 or 2015 Macbook Air, would it work with the battery and such? The ports and the trackpad haven't changed since 2011 and hope that the ifixit community can help!

Generally this is cost prohibitive and you do better to sell your machine and buy a newer one. You will never regain your costs when you do try to sell it.

From 2011 to 2012, the magsafe 2 was out, so the magsafe port for sure won't fit your 2011 macbook air at least. I'm pretty sure you'll have problems with keyboard, battery and trackpad as well
