Why can't I find anything on my flashdrive?

So I have this very important project, and I had all the work saved on my USB. Today I wanted to work on it but there was nothing.

It shows that there are files on it, but when I open it it's empty !!!

can anybody help me ? this is an emergency

Options

You'll need to use a file recovery program. What is your OS Windows or Mac?

If you pulled the USB drive out before it was finished saving you could have corrupted it to the point of not being able to recover anything.
