Will the device charge with foreign charger?

Hi there !

I Just owned a japanese limited edition Game Boy micro. It comes with a japanese charger which objiously wont fit in my French outlet.

I have a french gameboy micro with a "regular" charger. Will I be able to charge the japanese one with the french charger without any risk ?

In other terms, do the device cares about the local powerage ? I guess that it's the charger's job to adapt the power to the device but I wouldnt like my gameboy to burn in front of my unpowerful eyes after giving it a try.

Thanks for your help !

Vincent Monteil, the charger output should be the same, it will still be 5.3V. You should be okay by using a French charger that was meant for the Game Boy.
