After install, Home button does not work.

I installed a new screen. everything is perfect but the home button is flat. no bounce at all and does not work at all. Can't seem to find the answer.

Also the home button is not clicking all or has no movement on its own. If I laid it flat on a table for instance it is just flat.

Also, should the metal of my original home button touching the "internal home button part" still be enough for it to make it work?

With the screen off, when you look at the ribbon cable with the home button attached there should be a black dot right in the center, you will notice that it's missing. You need a new home button ribbon cable or you can transfer the black dot or nipple from a new one and add a very small amount glue to attach. For best long term repair I would suggest a new cable. It's soldered onto the charge port assambley.
